CIVILIANS BEWARE: Label of Goods is out of the box, and they’ve just taken six shots of LEAD.

Nazca Plate lead singer Logan Brennan is back and he’s packing heat with LEAD, the debut release from his solo project Lead Blocks, and the new label, Label of Goods! From start to finish, LEAD is a nocturnal van ride through a new-wave nebula of reverb, synthesizers, and anime references. Brennan’s abstract lyricism, ominous vocals, and industrial instrumentals come together beautifully with smooth and concise production, courtesy of the album’s producer Nazca Plate guitarist Zach Marino. You’ll laugh, you’ll shiver, and you’ll disassociate out to the rhythm as you continue down the highway in a state of electronic inebriation.

LEAD and Label of Goods enter the music scene at a strange time. The conversation has been co-opted as the record label boot lickers and the music blog trust punks continue playing God with what’s “cool”. But the scales are tipping and the tide is changing, and soon the status quo will drown in the rivers of artistic revolution. After all, it’s hard to stay afloat when you’ve got lead blocks for feet.
